Fantasy Time Party

Dream Pierrot's studio debut game is Fantasy Time Party, a turn-based fantasy roguelite RPG!

In FTP, you take on the role of a fantasy monster in a land where monster-kind is facing a crisis- adventurers from afar are invading your homeland! In order to resist these powerful foes, you must form a rag-tag party of monsters and transform them into a resistance capable of challenging the human, elven and dwarven "heroes" leaving destruction in their wake.... and you have one year to do it!

FORM YOUR PARTY

Venture into the ravaged homelands of monsters-in-need to recruit allies and build up your team of underdogs. Each monster has their own abilities and gameplay, with mechanics unique to each monster, allowing players to come up with their own combinations and strategies. Party members, abilities, modifications that transform those abilities, gear pilfered from defeated adventurers, and more- the choices are yours in each new journey!

A JOURNEY ACCROSS TIME

A dragon who slumbers outside of time lends their will to your cause, bending the laws of time itself to aid you in your quest. When you fail in one timeline, there is always another in which to awaken anew and try again. With the upgrades the player chooses from being randomized each time, each new run is a different experience. Every run, successful or not, will empower this powerful benefactor and allow you to choose persisting upgrades for your next attempts. Expand your arsenal with new items and abilities, unlock new encounters and characters, or do some decorating in the Forest Hag's tavern, your home away from home. There's a lot to do in a little time, but you have as many attempts as you need!

EVERY HERO HAS THEIR OWN JOURNEY

Throughout your journey, face off against an array of adventurers, each on their own monster-slaying quest. For every adventurer you take down, there is another growing stronger, so choose your battles wisely. Like you, they will grow stronger over the course of their journeys. You may encounter them as a greenhorn at the beginning of their journey, see them lending their aid to "The Chosen One" as a member of his party, or even face off against them while they lead a formidable party of their own.

Will you venture out to the ancient Necropolis to save its ghastly residents from the Cleric’s crusade, earning yourself an Undead teammate? Or will you add the Slime to your party by sparing its kind from becoming stock in the Mage's potion supply? Choose wisely! Each adventurer employs their own strategies to counter and overcome. Will you choose your path based on which battles you think you can survive, the party member you want to acquire, or maybe even the loot that would be just right for your build?

The Vision

As fans of the RPG genre, we love the experience of building and customizing a team of misfit characters that start to feel like family. As fans of roguelites, we love to be able to hop into a game and have the complete experience of starting with the basics to ending with a customized build in a few hours, versus the 40+ hours that many longform RPGs require.

With Fantasy Time Party, we hope to marry those concepts and deliver a bite-sized RPG experience that can be replayed over and over again with a different experience each playthrough.

Some examples of games that have inspired us while making Fantasy Time Party are Dicey Dungeons, Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, the Pokémon series, Hades, and Risk of Rain 2.
